The Brehmer Homestead was established in 1859 by German immigrants, Carl & Wilhelmine Brehmer. The natural limestone house was completed in 1876 and remodeled in 2001 to include all of the modern conveniences.

The Homestead is a private retreat. This guarantees that the house and courses are available to you and you only. No walk-ins are allowed. Come join us for a real treat in the Flint Hills where the only noise you will hear in the mornings and evenings is a train whistle from Herington and the sounds of nature. Take a walk on the walking trails and enjoy the beauty of the area.

Read the Salina Journal article about the story behind the beauty of the Homestead.
